Construction is continuing to gather momentum at Colmslie Wharves, with the first marina arms now virtually finished and major on-water infrastructure taking shape on the Brisbane River.

The latest milestones include the installation of the project’s final pylons, marking a significant step forward in delivering Brisbane’s newest commercial marina.

With the foundations now fully in place, the focus shifts to installing further marina arms for what will be a total of 50 commercial vessel berths on completion.

Raptis Investments Head of Leasing Arthur Raptis said the progress on site was transforming the long-envisioned project into a visible reality.

“Every month we’re seeing good progress on Colmslie Wharves,” he said.

“With the first marina arms now virtually completed you can really start to understand the scale and long-term vision for the project.

“For many years Brisbane’s marine industry has needed dedicated commercial infrastructure like this, so it’s exciting to watch this project come to life.”

Located at Morningside, just 9 km from the Brisbane CBD, Colmslie Wharves is being developed as a long-term operational base for marine tourism, charter and commercial vessel operators servicing both the Brisbane River and Moreton Bay.

Once complete, the marina will include commercial berths, sewage pump-out infrastructure and provisioning access designed specifically around the needs of commercial operators.

Colmslie Wharves is forecast to play an important role in supporting Brisbane’s growing marine tourism economy in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

With the first vessels expected to arrive within months, Colmslie Wharves is rapidly moving from concept to reality as Brisbane’s next major piece of marine tourism infrastructure.
