With construction now well underway at Colmslie Wharves, the marina will soon connect Brisbane’s existing and emerging river tourism infrastructure, creating a continuous water highway from the CBD to Moreton Bay.

Located in the heart of Murarrie, Colmslie Wharves sits just 9 km from the Brisbane CBD, positioning it as a vital support hub for the city’s major marine gateways, including Northshore Hamilton and the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal.

“The vision for Colmslie Wharves has always been about more than just berthing; it’s about connectivity,” said Arthur Raptis, Head of Leasing at Raptis Investments.

“By situating ourselves here, we are providing the logistical backbone that allows the rest of the river to function at a world-class level.”

Just across the river lies Northshore Hamilton, Brisbane’s largest urban renewal precinct. As Northshore evolves into a premier residential and lifestyle destination, Colmslie Wharves will provide the essential commercial infrastructure needed to service growing demand for river-based recreation and transport.

Further downstream, the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal at Pinkenba stands as an international gateway for thousands of global travellers – currently disconnected from key commercial river tourism offerings.

Colmslie Wharves is ideally positioned to support the boutique end of this market, providing a transition point for luxury charters that require proximity to the terminal, along with specialised provisioning and long-term berthing.

Upstream, the City Botanic Gardens River Hub and Howard Smith Wharves will also benefit from improved connectivity.

At present, operators servicing these high-activity precincts often travel considerable distances to berth overnight. Colmslie Wharves will likely significantly reduce these transit times, placing both locations within around 30 minutes of a dedicated commercial marina.

As Brisbane prepares for the 2032 Games, the city is moving away from isolated pockets of activity toward a unified marine ecosystem.

Colmslie Wharves sits at the centre of this transformation, ensuring that whether a visitor arrives via the International Cruise Terminal, stays at the Northshore, or travels to Tangalooma – the supporting marine infrastructure is modern, efficient, and strategically located.

Berths are now open for registration of interest. Don’t miss your chance to lead the next wave of Brisbane marine tourism.
